P4G was successful in winning the tender process for providing security services to the United States Antarctic Program. Based at Christchurch Airport,
The United States Antarctic Program (USAP), managed by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), supports scientific research and education in Antarctica — Earth’s highest, driest, coldest, windiest, and most remote continent.
USAP operates three year-round research stations and a research vessel, collaborating with federal agencies, the U.S. military and civilian contractors to provide essential logistical and operational support. P4G provides 24 hours a day access control and security monitoring of the site during the Antarctic summer season when the US Air Force can fly its C-17’s between New Zealand and Antarctica, and Administration Security and mobile patrols during the off season when flights are very limited.
As part of this process, P4G brought on the 15 existing staff who have been seamlessly integrated into the P4G family and will be redeployed into other P4G sites when this year’s season closes.
